M81, M82 & IFN

I used to process images in minimal number of steps. However, this one I used quite a number of techniques to process the Integrated Flux Nebula. However more techniques doesn't mean better processing. After hours of juggling around with PixInsight, I gave up and gave myself a break. Although the final image is not satisfactory, I practiced some techniques which I use less often.

Equipment: APM-TMB 105/650 with Borg 7704 @F4, Nikon D810A, D1, AVX, MGEN
Photographic details: ISO 3200, 5 mins x 24, flat frames, dark frames, bias frames

Reprocess it again without brutal force. I focused too much on the IFN in my 1st trial. The price for showcasing the IFN is that the ugly granular background. In this "Let it be" version, the INF is faint, but lesser processing artifacts. So I need to gather more signal next time for showcasing the IFN around M81 & M82.

Thanks for telling me the Chinese translation of IFN. Anyway, my observation site is quite good, but the clear skies rate is not as high as ur Tibet observation site. That's why I always miss ur Tibet observatory. I guess under these conditions, my observation site, telescope, camera etc., the reasonable total exposure for showcase the IFN around M81 & M82 is at least 7 hrs. Prodvided that a whole complete clear night, I needed to image it whole night.

Don't play! These two version are probably the best I have ever seen! I guess they can be published in APOD or they were prize winning master pieces! In addition, the resolution achieved is beyond amateur level already...

肯定不成，我沒有像"陳國際"那樣，付錢給Tony Hallas幫我處理照片，也沒有提升老婆的天文攝影水平，包攬太空館攝影比賽冠亞軍，所以肯定連能否入圍都有問題。

先館長廖先生對這事件的立場是很鮮明的
