Dear All,
I will go to southern Taiwan in the coming Easter with my family. Although the lovely but annoying moon will be hanging around, I can still do some deep sky imaging before the moonrise. I checked the moonrise accordingly:
1/4 20:40
2/4 21:41
3/4 22:41
4/4 23:40
6/4 00:24
7/7 01:08

My equipment list is:
FS60C
105mm f/2
18-200mm f/3.5-5.6
12-24mm f/4
350D (Modified)
DMK 41 & DBK21 (Are these two useful for this purpose with this set of instrucment?)

Any suggested deep sky objects or sky regions for me?
This is the first time I do DSI. This is also the first time I do oversea imaging too. I am sorry that in the past few months I have no chance to practise DSI in HK.... It is high possible that I will fail finally. Any precautions for me?

幾點個人看法：

- 我個人會集中以105/2拍攝個別天區，以及以12-24拍星流跡，個別星座我較喜歡以35至50焦距拍，這些是以全片幅換算的。

- DBK21大概沒多大用途，個別情況下，若你很喜歡人肉導星，或許把DMK41接到FS60C上作導星鏡吧

- 若拍攝個別星座，如天蠍、獵戶、夏季大三角等，加片輕度柔焦濾鏡，可讓亮星脹大，色彩飽和，很有美感的。

要好好用那EQ1，回來後我會帶到西藏的

Thanks 社長! Wish me good luck! I guess I don't have a chance to practise polar alignment in HK before I go to Taiwan. In fact I make my own way to do drifting after some simple geometry. I will try it in Taiwan & see if it works. About the DBK & DMK, I won't bring them to Taiwan this time as I have no intention to do guiding. I will make a good use of ur EQ1. Many thanks!

Willis, doing drifting is ok if you have time, but why not just relax and limit your exposure to 1min at highest ISO? Take 60x1min blind guided exposure and select the best and stack it, you will got some very nice image.

then enjoy deep sky observation aside with the FS60C with your daughter, you can easily find dozens of deep sky objects through that.

I tried to setup the equipment today. Still thinking about lower the weight further.

直接让 照相机来做平衡部件了。省时省力。

willis这么瘦小的东西还能精简？？？ 小心风大。

某程度上，這個EQ1很美，因為的確能夠跨越到這個數碼攝影的年代做點事情，希望未來數月能和Willis趁晴天時用來拍些簡單但美麗的照片吧。

小赤道仪有小赤道仪的玩法。

或許是我80年代只能用最原始的方法去拍照，反而鍛鍊好基本功吧，坦白說，這個EQ1(或類似的赤道儀)有很大限制，但只要做好幾個基本步，照片也可以很不俗的，提到基本功，我認為包括：

1. 精確調焦 (望遠鏡或相機鏡頭均要)
2. 合理對準極軸
3. 平衡及防震
4. 顧及赤道儀精度下的合理曝光

當然還有構圖、視乎相機性能的ISO等等....

這些步驟看似複雜，但其實很簡單，只要肯花丁點時間在這幾件小事上，照片肯定會提升幾個層次。

"餓"了幾個月，這分鐘我正在天台測試 APM-LOMO 80/600 + TS2平場鏡在全幅下的表現、以及 Pentax 100 SDUF II 的窄頻表現，初步表現理想，結果稍後公佈。
