不過也算了吧，USB1.1、對Ha過份低的QE、濾鏡後的雙晶片導星，很多還配了Baader濾鏡(而非新一代的Astrodon)，在今天的新技術前，的確有點落伍了，就算二手平宜買回來，也不知SBIG會支援多久。

STL11000M用的Kodak KAI-11002M晶片QE chart，在Ha的QE只有30%水平：

所以今天就算看到有人放二手的STL11000M，就算價錢低一點也要三思。一來SBIG公司賣給星加坡後，對一些停產了的相機長期保養支援不知如何，二來SBIG的全片幅及以上相機，今天跟FLI相比，真的很有多不足之處。

In short I won't consider CCD imaging, as HK sky is disappointing. I prefer get all the color channels in one go. So DSLR is my first choice. If I really need to buy one, I am sure I will opt for high Ha QE CCD, say 8300. If I have EXTRA $$, I will go for 16803. If I have no $$, .....

其實8300已足夠大部份愛好者需求：不算小的片幅，夠多的像素數量，略小的像素又匹配一般愛好者數百毫米焦距的小鏡，耗電量不算太高勉強可以以儲電池供電作流動用，16803就不要想了。

我也同意對流動攝星者來說，改濾鏡的單反是比較適合，但我個人對冷凍單反有保留，寧可把錢用在全片幅的改濾鏡5D Mark II或Mark III上，至少暫時未見用冷凍單反的愛好者能持續出品類似這樣的圖：

所以在小片幅上做太多功夫，不如直接上較大片幅更好。同樣，8300我也建議用最基本的ST8300M便可以，若加太多東西上去，不如多加點錢上16803。

創辦人也開聲了，也引起不少去年趁優惠入了STL11000的用戶担心。

這相機的老式電子、冷郤力不足、訊噪高，將會被新的STXL-11000取代，最大問題是SBIG已不能保證還可以支援零件多久，所以想入手二手STL11000的要三思了，否則若遇上任何問題，可能整台機報廢　

手上有STL11000的，能用一天就一天吧。

The ST-7 series cameras and STL cameras (which used the same USB 1.1 electronics) were at the point of going obsolete due to unavailable components. We held onto them as long as we could while we got their replacements ready. The new STT cameras (with USB 2.0 and Ethernet) ARE self-guiding, or not at the customer's discretion, with the self-guiding CCD in front of the filters (integrated into the filter wheel) where people want it. The STT is compatible with the existing AO-8. Its got a cooling delta of -55C with air only and less than 1 second downloads with a read noise of 8 to 9 electrons. In the next few months this model will also be available with the 1603 chip that used to be in the ST-8XME and the 3200 chip that used to be in the ST-10XME and possibly others in the future. We also have the new STXL-11000 and STXL-6303 with similar features and lower cost than the STX to replace the STL line. So basically we have updated and replaced the old with newer, better, quieter, faster cameras.
