Nikon G lens to Canon adaptor

I just bought this adaptor from Ap Liu Street. It enables the use of Nikon G lenses, lenses without aperture ring, on Canon DSLRs. Guess how much it costs?

The new Nikon lenses are G lenses. Traditionally, all the Nikon lenses have aperture rings. One can control the aperture, the focal ratio, by rotating the ring on the lens. It seems that Nikon followed Canon that the aperture can only be controlled via the camera body. This change makes the new G lenses cannot be used on the old manual models, say FM2 & F4 etc, even the lenses can be plugged into the camera. The same thing happen for the case of using G lenses on Canon camera. Even the G lenses can be plugged into the Canon camera. There is no way to control the aperture. The only aperture can be used is the smaller aperture of the G lens, say F22! The new adaptor has a lever which can adjust the aperture of the G lens.

It has been launched for sometime & I think it is too expensive, over US$200! I tell myself that if China can make this adaptor, the price will be much lower. Recently, I was told that China made it & it is available in Ap Liu Street. When I ask the Ap Liu guy for one, he said it is $480!!! I was shocked and ask him to give me the adaptor for a look. I found that it was a good clone of the original adaptor. So I comfort myself that it is much cheaper than that of the original one…

why not.

有機會試無妨，不過若在西藏拍攝的話，不要高估自己的體力，每晚拍好一兩個目標已足夠。之前的拍攝，我設好快門後便到房間休息上網，自動導星器為我代勞。

你的經驗是ED180/2.8 D是否會比老款180/2.8ED AIS銳些？

我那枝105/2.5 AIS，就算用TP2415拍攝也銳得無可挑剔，但在數碼機下的色散便很明顯。
