Partial and annular eclipses should be fine. I don't think of any problem. During totality, I don't know. probably it doesn't work. Problem is we can't do artificial test at this moment. So I recommend users to turn off guiding before totality. We plan the firmware update which allows to automatically turn off guiding when we lose the sun and switch to the average correction value until the sun comes up.

This new firmware update will be ready before this year's total eclipse."

Sounds good to automatically turn off guiding when
the Sun is lost, not just on totality but due to the
more frequent cloud coverage which happens
from time to time.

Usually automated dual scopes captures for TSE, Ha for partial eclipse
phases & white light during totality.
Best of both worlds.
A 3rd visual scope at totality would be perfect.

很怕在那種爭分奪秒的環境下操控這麼多望遠鏡，更不會相信全自動化設備，因為往往出乎意料的事情就會發生，所以我用兩台鏡夠了。

也好，2009華東日全食、2010雲南日環食都成功看了，以後再看也是錦上添花而已，所以全食太短的也不會考慮，地點勝算太低的也不會。

Hutech 的老闆說，因為他本人未試過單軸導，理論上是要用我現時的方法：先用雙軸赤道儀校正一次，然後放在Star-Adventurer上用，當然他不能保證表現如何。

當然另一考慮是要確保極軸對好，因為白天沒法用極星對，所以極軸精確度通常比晚上差，除非你晚上已對好極軸白天沒動過，又或者白天用太陽參考，以飄移法對極軸 (這個我試過)。
