God bless! We have sunshine today and I have 2 free lessons at the right time. Sun light just shone on the corridor just outside the laboratory! I compared the Thousand Oaks Optical Solar Filter Type 2+ & Herschel Wedge. The sun has a very small sunspot today. It is not obviously showed in my little LS35T, although LS35T showed a big beautiful prominence today. I used both Thousand Oaks Optical Solar Filter Type 2+ & Herschel Wedge on Equinox 12ED. The sun surface showed by Thousand Oaks was quite flat. However, the sun surface showed by Herschel Wedge has details! Well nothing to say & let the photos speak for themself.

Wow, it is really possible to get some surface details from Herschel Wedge beyond the sunspot area. I really have to try some time.

The transparency, seeing and my skill were bad. I guess the result can be better.

Yes! The seeing affects a lot! When I shot the sunspot yesterday with Equinox 120ED & TV 5X, the video of the sunspot just fluctuated a lot! See if I can have something good today.

So.... I must say my skill is bad... There should be some skills in post-processing solar images I don't know...
