Although the less-close-up pics don't show so much details in the globular cluster, it puts the object in some context when more background is shown. I like it better than the close-up ones.

Also, at lower magnification, problems with imaging are more hidden....

that's why I have open disagreement with you, why bother to push up the power in the telescope? The Saturn at 50x in ANY telescope is APO-like

I prefer the background not-so-dark. The last big picture feels better to me.

What about this? Just follow the same steps, but with different parameters and curve. Say Tolerance is 10, Amount is 20%, Radius 1 & slightly different curve.
