This was the last shot! I made a serious mistake when Venus came out , I wanted to move the planet to the center but I forgot the mount had been restarted and the slew speed was set to 500X , I lost the planet eventually and I concentrate on visual. I am quite sure I saw the atmosphere when 1/4 Venus came out from the sun for a while with a 130 APO at 156 x n 280x.

Oh dear! I also find that accidents can happen no matter how careful one prepares. My Canon lens immediately had fog all over it when I took it out to shoot this morning...after spending one night in an air conditioned room. This explains why I got no second contact pic!

I saw the atmosphere too with the 12 inch dobs very shortly after third contact with 9mm plossl (about 170x).

Very nice shots especially the high power shot! I was using M8, 2000mm, I found that the seeing didn't support that!
