We had a wonderful day with a number of fantastic active regions today. Some students and I enjoyed it with LS152T and binoviewer!

White light: Herschel wedge with Baader solar continuum filter

no wonder Willis said it's 2 sunspots group and 1 active region. I saw 3 groups, our eyes have different spectrum response.....

Cool! The best 'photo' can only be enjoyed by having those photons from the sun die on your retina.

But our eyes are only capture those "VISIBLE" photon.

H-alpha and CaK can be seen, although CaK is easier if the aperture is bigger. For most students, white light is always the one that they can 'understand' most easily when they look through the eyepiece.

My eyes are not sensitive to CaK. So I need a bigger scope.

none of our eyes are "sensitive" to Cak, it just can be seen with 60mm aperture under daylight.
