The disk shots are good. If I use the same equipment, I would probably get something very similar. There is indeed no magic in solar photography.

My only suggestion is to experiment a bit on the settings for the overexposed prom as there doesn't seem to be much details. I know that the details of some proms can be hard to capture, but there are a few things you can try:

1. Use a higher gamma setting (decrease the contrast)
2. Try a shorter exposure / lower gain

我大學畢業後當了七年半導體工程師，對機器、生產有一點我們很重視的：就是出品的穏定性，當然目標是要求穏定地好。

無論一批晶片生產出來壞品率特別高，或是完全沒有壞品，或是一時特別高一時特別低，我們都要研究發生了什麼事。因為按理無論生產晶片時的化學、物理反應的可預計性都十分高，所以這三種情況都不正常。當我們穏定地正常一批批晶片後，下一步才是穏定地減低壞品率，其中一個最有效方法是減低人為因素的介入。

天文攝影也一樣，除了天氣確實多變外，其他如對焦、追蹤、導星、曝光、後期處理都應該是複製性很高的行為，又或者我們應該用更多非人化的工具去減低變素，其中魚骨板加數碼調焦便是一例。所以若一套器材要花很長時間才能上手，又或者不同人操作會有很不同的表現，當然更壞例子是器材本身個體差異很大，已說明那套器材並非理想的生產（照片）工具

再舉一例，過去一年，我在Astrocafe的目標並非推動完美的天文攝影，而是推廣一套水平可以但複製性高的攝影方法。所以我在台灣西藏拍的深空，又或者在香港拍的行星，雖然水平可能只屬合格，但很多例子說明，任何同好只需花很短的時間便可複製上手，出品同樣甚至更好的作品。LVI導星便屬一例，我只花了十分鐘示範給Henry、Willis、David看，他們便能自行操作，甚至教其他人很快上手導星，另一特例是Dr Lee及funoooo無師自通，其中funoooo之前的作品水平如何大家心裡有數，亦從沒成功自動導星，但郤能用LVI拍出精確照片，亦因此我一直推動用LVI導星，因為便宜簡單高效。

我很崇拜那些能人所不能，把平平無奇的器材發揮到101%的大師，因為我自問不能。所以我的目標是，若能組合一套器材，能讓大多數同好在很短時間內上手並發揮到90%的功效的，那才是最好的器材。

現在看，Willis才玩天文一年多，半年前才第一次拍深空，正式認真拍太陽才一個月，這些作品或許不是極高水平，但我相信，其他人也能用相若的時間做出相若的成果。

今年是時候把Astrocafe推進穏定的更高水平了

Thanks guys! As mentioned by David, there is no magic. One needs to handle a few things carefully; perhaps easy, decent photos can be produced. In fact for the solar imaging, I just looked at David for once. I get the trick already. This time he pointed the trick for the prominence, I think I can improve next time.
About 社長's point, I was lucky to get the right advice from the right persons. So I don't waste much time on struggling around. I've seen many cases that people struggle for years for instrucment before decent photos can be produced. The price is time, effort and money etc. Just be open minded, critical & think independently, it is not difficult to get the right track.

Thanks 社長! Don’t please me too much. In fact, my progress just reflects what can be achieved via proper route. Proper route means appropriate equipment & attitude towards hobby. In psychology, we have a term called serious play. If one plays seriously, good outcome is expected. At least, it will come one day. I strongly agree with u that “Lead by examples 而非 Manage by words”. I’ve seen someone in other forum, always big mouth, but never get tasks done properly. Isn’t it ironic? But it is normal to have big mouths in our society, without them life is boring. Right?
