Location of first contact of Venus transit

In order to image the first contact, it is better to know roughly the location of first contact. To avoid confusion, let consider we are viewing the Venus transit with binoculars and facing to the sun at about N70E. According to Hong Kong Observatory, the first contact location is at around 10:00 (assume the sun look like a clock). However when I use Stellarium and Safari, both simulations showed the first contact location at about 8:00. Any clue?

The HKO sun's east is on the right and north is at the top. However, the sun doesn't rise with the north touching the horizon first.

Looking at the forecast, we'll be extremely lucky if we ever see the sun in the morning.

i was confused also ... Does "HKO's north" meaning the north side, rather than the "sun's north" (I am not too sure how I can tell which side of the sun is the "sun's north") ... following that, I was at Science park looking at east - and if I rotate HKO's path guide by 90 degree counter clockwise i.e east is then at the top, then the ingress and egress is exactly as it should be.
